December brings a blue, red and gold colour scheme for the Lindy Stamp Gang challenge, perfect for creating Christmas cards.

Prima 12 Days of Christmas Cards - Day 8 Bloom Collection

Tuesday 2 December 2014

Day 8 of Prima's 12 days of Christmas cards challenge is Bloom collection. I created a silver and blue card using the gardenia stencil, modelling paste and silver embossing powder to create a raised texture.

For this card I used Prima epiphany paper, zinc glass beads and Prima flower and leaves.

Prima 12 Days of Christmas Cards - Day 1 Glitter

Prima has been running a 12 days of Christmas cards challenge on their blog. Day one's challenge is to use glitter.

I made this gold and black glitter card using Prima's glass gold glitter, gold foil colour bloom spray, epiphany journaling cards, epiphany A4 paper pad, black chalkboard paint, gold foil mica flakes, epiphany flowers and leaves coloured with gold foil spray.

Two floral canvases

Sunday 30 November 2014

November Lindy Stamp Gang challenge time. This month uses some gorgeous colours. I had a lot of fun. I have made two floral canvases for this challenge.

Firstly I made a floral canvas using lots of flowers, a cute prima bird and lots of lindy stamp gang sprays.

I also made a daydream canvas, again with lots of flowers and sprays.

Both canvases have been made using the following stamp gang products:

Starburst spray a-bit-o'bubbly
Starburst spray sweet-violet-purple-teal
Starburst spray tainted-love-teal
Embossing powder midnight-violet
Embossing powder queen-shebas-silver
Embossing powder cleopatras-copper

It is time for October's Lindy Stamp Gang challenge. This month they have gone with a very muted colour scheme. A little out of my comfort zone but I decided to have a go.

Finnabair Inspired Canvas

Today I have made a Finnabair inspired canvas. If you have never seen any of her work, here is the link to her blog http://tworzysko.blogspot.com.au/. She is amazing.

First I covered the canvas in black gesso.

I then stuck on lots of ephemera and flowers. This is the fun part. It doesn't matter what colour they are as the next step is to cover them all in a layer of black gesso (you can also so this with white gesso).

I then sprayed it with Lindy Stamp Gang Starburst sprays. I used quite a few layers of these to get a nice coverage and shimmer. I then used gold paint to add some highlights and I was done.

Choose Happy

Tuesday 30 September 2014
Today I created this simple tag for the bloom girl September challenge. I love Jamie's stamps but I only have one of them so far.

I used Jamie's awsome Free Spirit stamp to create this tag.

Dreams come true canvas

Thursday 25 September 2014

I have recently been able to get hold of some of the Lindy Stamp gang sprays. I love these. They are my new favourite. The starburst sprays have so much shimmer in them. It is amazing. They are also permanent once dry so you can layer on top of them.

I was looking at the Lindy stamp gang blog and decided to try entering the September colour challenge. Aren't these colours gorgeous?

For this challenge I have created a canvas piece called Dreams Come True. I am not particularly good at this layering technique yet so I keep practicing.

I have started by using a Tim Holtz scrapbook paper for the background. I applied texture paste through a circle stencil and then used the Lindy Stamp Gang sprays to build up the background. The photo doesn't show the shimmer this has.

I used the new prima glass glitter in copper and mica flakes in mulberry to add texture. I then added layers using Dusty Attic chipboard elements, Bo Bunny and Prima ephemera and flowers and more sprays to build up the layers. I like how it turned out.

The sprays that I used from Lindy Stamp Gang are:

I hope you join me in the challenge.

Welcome

Monday 22 September 2014
Welcome to my blog. This blog will be following my crafty progress as I learn mixed media, art journaling and card making. I hope to be able to help others to learn these crafts, as I discover new techniques and experiment with new products.
