Best Fishes

I have again been playing with my new color bursts by Ken Oliver. For anyone wondering, I only own four colours, turquoise, lime green, fuchsia and violet. So far they have been fun to play with and give very different results to anything else I currently own.

For this card I have created a kind of abstract sea scene with water, sand and fish. It isn't your typical scene type card.

So for my card today, I used a stencil to create a background paper with the turquoise and lime green color bursts. this is so easy to do. Lay down your stencil on watercolour paper, sprinkle on the colorburst and spray with water. If you want a more perfect stencilled image you may want to use a spray removable adhesive on your stencil to keep water from going under it , but I like the imperfect look.

I coloured with distress markers and cut out two fish and the crab from the lawn fawn fantastic friends stamp set.

I added additional stamping of bubbles and a sandcastle to enhance the card. I added sprinkles sugar stickles to the bubbles.

I stamped the best fishes sentiment in jet black archival ink to complete this card.
