Dark blue, white and gold (CYCI#119)

Friday 13 May 2016
I received the hero arts layered goldfish stamp this week and just had to use it. I created this card for the Can You Case It challenge this week.

The CYCI challenge for this week is for this week was to use dark blue, white and gold.

I interpreted the hold as both metallic gold and yellow gold for my card.

I created the background for my card using chipped sapphire and blueprint sketch distress ink. I then added circles using white pigment ink to create a bokeh effect and added some Heidi swap gold colour shine splatters.

I stamped the first layer of the goldfish in yellow ink and then their faces in black ink. I then stamped the second layer in versamark ink and then embossed them in gold embossing powder. I used a detailed embossing powder as the stamp is very detailed.

I added some pearl dots for bubbles, heat embossed the sentiment in white on vellum and heat embossed some white stones to finish off this card.

I used my newly found toy, stick-it to add the vellum to the card. It works great and you can't see the adhesive at all.

I am also entering this card into the Simon Says stamp Monday embossing challenge. I used heat embossing on the fish, greeting and stones.
