Pink/Peach Ombre

Saturday, 30 January 2016
I have a fun (and a little messy) card for you today with an ombre effect.

  1. I mixed a small amount of guava, bubble-gum and metallic melon gealatos separately into some whipped spackle. I then mixed a little of the metallic melon and guava into the bubble-gum pink to make it a little less bright pink.
  2. I placed the Prima spark stencil on top of a piece of watercolour paper and added masking tape to mask off where I want to complete my stencil.
  3. I then added my whipped spackle through the stencil with the darkest colour at the bottom and the lightest at the top.
  4. I mixed a small amount of water into the area where the metallic melon was on my pallet and added splatters on the top of the card.
  5. After letting the card dry, I stamped the thanks so much from the mft written in watercolour.
  6. Finally I mounted it on slate grey card stock.
I am entering this card into the Wednesday Simon Says Stamp challenge, Anything Goes.
